Mutual Trust Bank (MTB) has signed a sponsorship agreement with Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) franchisee Rangpur Riders for the upcoming BPL T20 tournament.
The sixth edition of the BPL will start on January 5 and end on February 8.
The agreement was signed at the EWMGL conference room in Bashundhara Residential Area in the capital on Sunday.
Rangpur Riders Chairman Mostafa Azad Mohiuddin and MTB Senior Executive Vice-President and Head of SME and Retail Banking Division Tarek Reaz Khan signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Rangpur Riders Head of Operations Tasvir Ul Islam, Advisor Mehrab Alam Chowdhury and MTB Group Chief Communications Officer Azam Khan were also present on the occasion.
MTB Senior Executive Vice-President and Head of SME and Retail Banking Division Tarek Reaz spoke about his expectations from Rangpur Riders in the upcoming BPL.
“Rangpur Riders is one of the finest teams of BPL. They are the reigning champions and we expect them to be champions again. If Rangpur Riders become the champions, MTB will also become a champion,” said Tarek Reaz.
Tarek Reaz also expressed his delight by partnering up with the reigning champions Rangpur Riders and believes that Rangpur Riders share a similar level of competitiveness to that of MTB.
